The door switch is broken or out of adjustment. You car is probably still under warranty so I would take it to your dealer.
Its the drivers door latch assembly. The ajar switch is integrated in it and can't be serviced separately. I've put tons of them in and have never seen a wiring problem unless its been created by some other kind of damage such as a wreck.
