Can a water soaked 2014 Lincoln mkx fob be fixed

Open up the key fob and remove the battery. Allow it to remain open in a warm, dry place to dry out. This is the same you would do for a cell phone dropped in water. Some people tell me that putting it in a small bag of rice will draw out the moisture. Good luck.
