NEVER,NEVER,EVER rely on crossing your fingers when it comes to the life or death of you or an innocent by-stander!!!!! .......You ABSOLUTELY MUST take your car to a repair shop NOW.

It does matter, might be a normal function of the car . While in cruise control you can press the brakes then press the accelerator. The car might be try to get her to the speed she was at.

I think they would know if their car was acting normal; they said "Hit the brakes and it accelerates"

I have had a couple cars accelerate On me after braking and reapplication of the Excelerator. I'm just saying it could be operator Error. I've never herd or a car doing what the person Described. But I guess it is possible.

to: Martman .....I was is no way upset with your question....I was upset with someone trying to give Do IT Yourself fix-er-up suggestions to someone who was obviously not a d.i.y. fixer upper type person....You obviously knew how to drive your car & use the brakes......I was very concerned that you might ; however, postpone repairs.
