Both headlight abruptly quit working
Asked by Eddie Nov 16, 2018 at 01:54 PM about the 2013 GMC Acadia SLT-1 AWD
Question type: Maintenance & Repair
My girlfriend drove home in the dark yesterday and both her headlamps were
working. The car sat for about 45 minutes when we got in both headlights
wouldn't come on and we noticed the front amber parking lights were not
working as well. The circular LED lights around the edge of the healights are
working.

Did you check fuses?
The same thing recently happened to my 2016 Acadia. The fuses were good. The bulbs were changed & it cost me over $300. They are currently working but not well at all. I have no noticable difference with highbeams switched on & also recently noticed moisture in one of my lenses that was not present before they were replaced. There is currently a streak of light coming from one side and overall they are not lit adequately for night driving at all. I am currently forced to use my fog lights to help see when its dark. I am bringing it back to the garage that replaced the bulbs to resolve the moisture issue & hopefully get some answers. At this point I can only assume besides the bulbs being burnt out that there must be a seperate underlying problem (possibly a firing issue?). Im curious if your experience has been similar & if it has been resolved?
I am having the same exact problem.
Did you ever figure this out?
I am having the same problem

Both of our headlight bulbs were burned out. Less than 1 year old

My mechanic tried fixing my lights that suddenly went out. No high beams either. Only fog and halogen rim working. He thinks it’s related to the computer since the fuses are fine. Interesting how this seems to be a common problem.

Did you ever get to the bottom of this?
