i have a 1991 dodge dakota 5.2l v8 the water pump went out on it and i let it sit for 2 weeks now when i try to start it up i have to pump the gas for a minuet thin it will idle really rough and it smells like gas i have not replaced the water pump yet and it ran fine when i parked it any ides on what could make this happen? 4 Answers

I have a 1993 Dodge Dakota, 5.2L V8 engine, 4WD and im replacing the fuel filter but noticed that one of the rubber lines that connects to the metal fuel line to the filter had a small hole in it, i have all the stuff to replace it, but i cannot figure out how to get the clamp off on the one end that attaches to the metal part, it is a metal clamp, all the way around, and i just cant figure out how to get it off. Any ideas? 4 Answers

I had plugs ,wires ,distributor cap,rotor button, coil,alternator and new muffler installed...still it backfired and blew out the muffler...i would like to know what is the actual problem?

I have a 1996 Dodge Dakota with the 3.9 at speeds of 55 to 65 the rpm are running at 3400 some times up to 3800. Is this to high or is it ok. When I back off the gas it slows down fast like I have the bracks on or something. 1 Answer
