Replacement motor for a 2001 Dodge Dakota

Asked by Bigfoot531 Mar 23, 2011 at 05:35 PM about the 2001 Dodge Dakota SLT Club Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Will a 2002 Dodge Dakota 4.7 fit into a 2001 Dakota with a 4.7. My 01 has blown a motor and I can not find a 2001 4.7lt. I did find a 2002 Dakota that also has a 4.7 in it. My question is will that motor work in my truck, and what if any is different between the two.

I cannot think of any major differences between the two so I would say YES it should be able to go in. Good Luck
