Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Over the last couple of days, when I started my car, it seemed like the battery
was weak and eventually died.

I had to replace the battery in my 2013 Malibu Eco when it was just a year old. I replaced it with an Interstate battery rather than bringing it to the dealership and having them put another ACDelco battery in it under warranty. Never had any problems with it not starting after.

Have the same problem. AC Delco batteries are the least expensive in this size/group but rhey die prematurely. I do not have good experiences with Interstate neither,so I will try another brand.

Hello, My name is Kevin. I purchase a used 2013 Chevy Malibu hybrid for my son. After about a month it started dying on him. I found out the hybrid battery had a problem and it would drain the other battery. I have contacted the dealer and found out that the modules to replace the hybrid battery has been discounted. Therefore who ever has a 2013 chevy malibu hybrid will be with out a hybrid battery when it dies. What I am seeing online the life for a hybrid battery is no more than 8 years. When I contacted GM they refuse to help. If you want to contact me my email address is kevin.white@michelin.com

Take one for the greater good? Green is the new rule of the land according to some. Don't question the propaganda or greens will turn on you as an enemy of the planet. OR you can use your brain and buy a good car and not listen to the hype.

I got a used 2013 back in April. The battery all of a sudden died on me at work in June. Got a Duracell replacement, and here it is the end of July, and it's not starting again. Voltage reads 9.9 and after battery saver starts...goes to 10.2. It's a brand new battery!
