Seatback stuck in down position

I broke plastic lever in seatback of
2013 Sorento 2nd row seat which
now leaves seat stuck down. How
can I get it back to normal
position until I can afford to fix it

Is it possible to get a pair of vise grips in place of the broken handle? Just be careful not to damage the shaft where the handle goes.
