Question type: General

I have a 2001 Dodge Durango. First time to own a 4wd. Question is.. is it safe
to switch from 2wd to 4wd without stopping first?

It is best to stop and you have to stop when going into 4Low. You should be able to "shift on the fly" into 4High up to 50 mph. If you do not have an owners manual you should get one. Downloads are available or you can find one on Ebay.
