Epc light and engine light on

Asked by Lalo Jun 04, 2018 at 10:12 PM about the 2013 Volkswagen CC 2.0T R-Line FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a Volkswagen CC r line 2013 with 27000
miles . When I hit 70 mph the epc light and engine
lights turn on . After that it feels like it doesn’t make
correct shifts and trembles . We put it on the
scanner and it marks misfire on cylinder 1 and 4 .
We’ve change ignition coils and spark plugs and I’m
still having the same issues. What can be the
solution to my problem?

Hey guys I’m having the exact same problems on my 2010 Passat 2.0. I have a random misfire codes with illuminated EPC and blinking Cel. So far I’ve replaced the plugs, all four coils, and the PCV valve. The misfires are very minor and only occur when idling. The engine runs great while in gear with no shaking. If anyone has resolved this issue or has any suggestions, please email me - jozaca@yahoo.com. Thank you!!

Volkswagencchicago take it to the nearest VW dealership, there is some sort of recall. I believe my car (2012 VW CC) had a fuel filter recall. They fixed it, with no cost.

My check engine light and EPC light have come on in my 2007 jetta. I have done some extensive research and found what it can be. From cheap and easy to more expensive and harder to fix on your own. Change key fob battery, check fuses, change Crank Sensor. If EPS doesn't go away after the first 3 steps, Change coil packs as well as spark plugs. If this doesn't resolve the issue, next would be, Change O2 sensors. If EPS us still on... change throttle body.

Same B/S here...! I love my CC, but I’ll “NEVER” purchase another VW!!!! Totally disappointed!!! Anyone looking for a used VW CC? All it needs is a little TLC.... Just gotta figure out why this little EPC light and check engine light come on. Shouldn’t be too hard to figure out...? It’s just a stupid little light... Yeah, GOOD LUCK WITH THAT B/S!!!!!!!!!!

For $60 on Ebay, get a OBDII scanner and clear the codes. Then sell that baby!!

I have repaired the computer, new manifold, new sensors, complete new engine harness. Still junk, if there was ever a Lemon car the CC fits the mold. Computer appears to have failed again. Don't buy one!

Fuel lines I had the exact same issue, replaced air filter and plugs. Looked into any issues in the turbo, but figured I would try the quick and easy fix first just in case. Ran a set of fuel treatments through the engine and it sorted itself out. I'm guessing this car has a tendency to clog up in the fuel lines.
