Bad battery

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
So I have a 2013 spark ls. I had the battery tested
and was told it was bad. Can't afford a new right
now. Anyway now sometimes I need to jump it, but
today it started to turn on lights on the dashboard.
Brake. Traction, I kill the car. Turn it on and it's fine.
Would the bad battery cause this problem.

Thank you. None of this started till the battery went bad. That's when it would pop up different warning lights.
Jump starting any of today's cars is not the best idea due to all the electronics involved. If you can't even afford a battery perhaps you should not be driving a car that new. Just sayin.....
Some cars can be quite sensitive to jump starts. I had a Jag that was. Repeated jump starts with a bad battery is probably asking for trouble not to mention that many people get confused and reverse polarity.
Fixing cars the right way is always the best advice. Mickey Mouse advice should be reserved for Yahoo forums.
@Oldstorqnpower, I am pretty sure nobody yanked your chain here. In my opinion a person driving a 4 year old car should have some funds lying around to replace a battery or tire or other unexpected repair, taxes, insurance etc. Too new of a car can sometimes absorb most of the person's money. Also it is never a good idea to jump start any vehicle with a computer engine control. Can it be done safely? Most of the time yes......
The low battery voltage is causing all your issues, you will need to replace the battery to correct this situation.
