Is it safe to buy a car online and have it transported to me?

I have been told by friends that it is not safe to buy
a car (never seen) online, plus I want a car that is
too far to pick up! Does Car Gurus assist with
information regarding the safety of buying a car
online and having it transported to me?? Does the
dealer ship have a safe honest transport company, I
am pretty sure that I would be responsible to pay
the fee for transporting a car, that's O.K. I just do
not know where to begin??.
Also I want to pay Cash for my car, how would I
pay for the car, since I can't mail cash. Am I
protected against buying from anyone that would
cheat me??

I would not do it. If I did it would have to be through a major car dealer that I trusted. Car Gurus cannot help you as all they do is provide a place for ads. Best to do the transaction in person so you can test drive the car.
