2013 Altima has 3 knocks after engine starts

Why does my Altima have 3 knocks right after I start the engine. This has been been happening for about 6 months now.

Have you isolated exactly where the knock is coming from? Is it inside the engine, or is it external? If you could narrow it down, it would help to diagnose. Does it do it when engine is hot, or just cold? If you run into the store and come out 3 minutes later, does it knock when you start it? Or just first thing in the morning? The more clues you can give the better.

The knocks are inside the car not engine. I live in FL so it isn't cold here.
Do you hear the knocks if you turn your temp from hot to cold? When you start the car, is everything off inside? Turn everything off. A/C and blower all off. See if it still knocks. Just wondering if it may be your actuator door gear. That is what redirects air from your defroster to the floor for example.
