Can I use a different starter on my car?

There are ways to look up what parts all model year cars use. Sometimes you will find the same part was manufactured again for later models and could get a newer part if you were to say go to the junk yard. i had a 2005 nissan sentra for example. The fuel pump was used on the 03-06 models and also the 2011-2015. I snagged one out of a 2012. Hope this helps.

In your 2013 model year, there was an option for the Automatic Start Stop. The starters were different between a vehicle with it and without it. Here is a list of vehicles you can pull a starter from if you DON"T have Auto Start Stop.
