13 Outback - ABS & brake light

Asked by PaulH56 May 20, 2020 at 04:34 PM about the 2013 Subaru Outback 2.5i Premium

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

ABS light comes on (doesn't flash), e-brake light flashes. Resets with engine
restart, then returns a few minutes later. Didn't happen at all until I put LED
brake lights in yesterday. Are the 2 related, or just coincidental?

Hey, Boston - good call! Wiring is all good. Changing the bulbs out back to OEM did the trick. It's interesting how interconnected all the gadgets are - ie the LED brake lights were drawing insufficient (relatively speaking) voltage = ABS system noticed and complained about it? Anyway, as Marvin the Martian always said: "Back to the old drawing board" Thanks for the guidance.
