Drivers door power window w/auto up not working, 2013 Subaru Outback, out of warranty
Left front seat windows down Friday night, a typical Florida thunderstorm hit, doors & seats got wet.
Saturday morning, dried the doors and seats, rolled up windows. Later that morning rolled down windows to "air-out" car.
That afternoon, rolled up windows, all rolled up except driver's door worked. Checked fuses, all OK.
Since out of warranty, I carefully took apart door. Removed master window switch, disconnected wiring harness in door, used compressed air to blow out and dry any moisture. (Although, did not notice any, I wanted to dry wire contacts)
Plugged master switch back in, turned key to "On" position. All windows worked except drivers door. (All the small LED lights on the window buttons were lit except driver's door button) Went to bed to sleep on it...
Sunday, none of the windows would work. Monday, I figured it was the window master switch, ordered from Subaru. When it arrived, I plugged it in, all windows worked, except driver's door. All the LED lights were on, except the driver's door button. Next day, none of the windows worked with the new master switch installed. I then ordered a service manual from ebay, downloaded and read the test procedures for the window motor and switch. I confirmed the window motor was operative by testing according to the service manual procedure. I checked the power window relay in the engine compartment fuse box and relay seems fine. (I tested by swapping similar relay from rear window defroster) Windows still did not work...
Any suggestions, ideas...all appreciated. Thanking community in advanced. Dave K.
