Loud squeeling sound when applying brakes

We have a 2013 Chrysler 200 Convertible. When coming to a full stop & applying the break to slow down we get a loud squeel. Sometimes when releasing the break pedal to inch up we get the same squeel. New brakes were installed about a year ago and onlt have approx 7000 miles on them. We recently had the brakes checked & they were fine. What is making that noise???

If the pads are good, there is a backing on the pads (between the pads and caliper/caliper piston) that should have been installed. Alternatively, there is a 'disc brake quiet' product that can be applied to the back of the pads.
