Are you parked on a hill? Roll towards the hill to relieve pressure on the transmission and try. Also check shift lock solenoid. There should be an override near the shifter you can try, usually hidden by a plastic cover of some sort. Shift linkage is another possibility

remove the coin tray look for a pink plastic piece and push it down. This piece is broken where the spring connects and will need to be replaced.
