300z's are great cars. The only issue I would worry about is finding one that hasn't been abused or hacked up. What ever you do decide on I would spend the money to have a shop go through it to make sure you aren't buying someone else's headache.

get one of those 'froggy' lookin' scion IQ's. they have eleven airbags and are sneaky small. Probably could finance one too- comparitively cheap.
Hopefully, you're under your parent's insurance policy ...if not, you should be, if they are agreeable to it (I stayed under that safety net until I turned 25..when the rates became much lower). I'd be careful about a 1985 Z...Yes, they are great cars (I loved my '05 350Z)...I actually bought a '85 Turbo Z several years ago from an eBay Seller and got royally screwed..it was an electrical & mechanical nightmare from hell..especially with that digital dash on the older Z's. Have a mechanic give the Z or any other used sportscar you buy a good solid once- over before you give ANY seller a dime...if a Seller refuses to allow a mechanic to look at it..just walk away...better yet, RUN away!
