my ac is dead. won't come on. all interior fuses are OK. where should i look next?

recently had my 1985 300 zx turbo painted and when it was done the AC is dead.  Only
thing done electrically was to disconnect ground cable from battery and then reconnect
and charge.
No power coming to the AC/Heater in the middle console.  All controls for AC/Heater
dead.  No  bad fuses noted on inside fuse block on driver's side panel. Was working
fine until battery disconnected and re connected and I am not sure where to look next,
like inside the relay box in the engine compartment
