behind the glove box, in the bottom of dash an passenger side
On the passenger side under the glove box next to the blower motor, be sure to change out the plug that connects to the resistor they tend to get very hot and burn. You can get a pig tail for that, so you don´t have to change the entire dash lum, on e-bay or aftermarket auto stores.

Sorry to tell you this but the resistor is not on the inside of the car! Remove the windshield wiper arms, the plastic cowling, and on the passenger there is an access hole to the resistor. You will need a mirror to see it. 8 mm nut driver, or socket. 2 screws. The wire lead is very short, but has to be unplugged. It is not an easy task. Good luck. The dodge team that put this idea together should be strung up! This no joke!
my 2000 Durango I can't get the plug loose and suspect it is melted together. Has anyone found an easy way to unplug the dang thing. I agree with boilrmaker549. this is a nightmare unforeseen and dodge should be ashamed of the design.
How the hell could the thing go bad anyway...it's just a couple of springs, no moving parts.
