how to get back plugs out of 2013 Ltz 3.6 engine?

http://www.terrainforum.net/index.php?topic=5176.0 - It seems the GM recommended method is to remove intake, but some owners are saying you can get it without doing that. I find that with "wobblers" (swivel socket extensions) I've been able to get to most transverse-mounted V6 rear plugs.
