Dodge avenger

My fob key has been working fine since I've had
but now it won't start it anymore when I turn it on
all lights come on and I can here fuel pump kick on
but when I turn to start position it just clicks but if I
took jumper cables to it then it starts right up I've
tested battery and alternates and there good any
ideas

Not a mechanic but sometimes it’s as simple as unhooking the battery and hooking it back up to reset computer
