Battery light (Charging light)

Yesturday while I was driving my charging light
came on.....idk what I could be, I need to run some
much needed errand, and I can't walk far because
of my knee surgery,  what can be the problem...?

It could be as simple as a loose belt to a battery problem .. or at worst an alternator

Ohhh wow....how long could I drive with the car like this, because my mechanic isn't open until tomorrow, but I need to get around today....

You car has lots of electronics on it so if there is no charge going to the battery it will not run very long. Maybe not even long enough for a short errand. Have someone check the belt and do a voltage measurement at the battery with the engine running. The voltage should be between 13.5 and 14.7. If you drive it the voltage will get low enough that the car will shut off and not restart until the battery is charged.

All of a sudden my charging light started coming down like when they hit a pothole or Goldberg and the ghost ride out I have a new battery new alternator and new water pump in it what could it be

What is the problem all of the Dodge Avenger charging light keeps coming on only when I hit potholes or the curb are little bumps then it goes out I have a brand new battery and a new alternator

I have a new battery and a new alternator in my 2.4 as of 2 days ago and the battery light is back on. Any ideas?
