Where is the spare tire located in 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan?

The spare tire is under the rear floor board of the van or in behind the rear side panels.

My 2014 GC did not come with a spare tire/wheel, but the mounting hardware is located underneath the van, roughly between the front seats. Instead of a spare, I got an electric inflator and a can of "fix-a-flat".

My 2017 Dodge Caravan The salesman told me their was no spare and an inflator was in the rear compartment. I saw a jack and no inflator . checked under the van between the front seats and saw the cover there , he told me the mini spare was there .I saw a card for 5 year roadside service. figured I will use that, for a flat, what ever happened to a real spare tire? a good way to cut cost . but prices still go up. salesman told me to use the Service . I sure will.

Newer Grand Caravans do not come with a spare tire. There is, however, a space for one under the car about between the front bucket seats. Inside the car, there is a plug just below the center console. Lift the plug, and there is a bolt style lever that lowers the necessary parts for installing a spare tire. If you want to buy a spare tire from a dealer, it will be over $500. Otherwise, check Ebay - you can get a genuine MOPAR spare tire and kit for about $275. You may also need to get a scissor jack. Get one with at least 1 1/2 tons of lifting capacity. Walmart sells these stock for about $25. At the dealer, they are $115. Ebay, you might be able to get one for around $20. You'll probably also want some wheel blocks. Again, Walmart has these for about $20. It's not complicated; just a hassle.

Wow! what a inconvenience to put a spare under the vehicle. I often wonder what the thinking is with the people that design and come up with these ideas. Think abut it. It rainy or snowy out and you have to lower the tire from the inside and than piratically crawl under the van while your legs are sticking out and could possible get run over. I guess you can go on the other side if space allows but still dangerous and not very piratical. I think Dodge missed the boat on this one. I think giving up a little space for safety was overlooked. I really hope they change this.

this nonsense of not selling the van with a spare is a ripoff. Both times I needed my spare in my old van, the inflator and run flat would NOT have helped: 1) a cut sidewall on a curb and 2) the end of the valve stem corroded right off - it shot across the parking lot, seriously. I was furious when I learned our new van had no spare.

People,,,people, grand caravan DOES come with a Spare tire Under the Floor console between Driver and passenger seats, None of this minivan has a inflator on the back , just the Jack and log Nut Too, If yours don't have a Pare Tire it means that the Dealer or Previous owners Remove it.,

Guru is incorrect. You either got a spare and jack or you got the inflator kit the pumps fix a flat into your valve stem and pumps up the tire with NO jack or spare tire.

My 2014, 2011, and 2006 had a spare under the front seating area. My 2019 does not - only a compressor in the back storage compartment. The reason the spare was placed under the front of the cabin is to accommodate the stow n go seating. There was no other place to put it unless inside the cabin.

I was shocked to find out I didn't have a spare. I had a flat and checked under in the trunk there was no spare. I had to get my 2019 Dodge Caravan towed to the Dealer @ 7pm which they was closed. Had to wait until the next day. I was hot. why would they made a car or van with out a spare. so inconvenient.what if i was traveling on the highway with my small children that's not fair at all. they need to rethink that and the car dealer's need to tell people that there is not one. If i had known that, I proably wouldn't have brought it.

Just found out today the same situation. We had a blowout very close to our house so we could get back to our home. Went to go change the tire with a spare to be able to drive it to the closest tire place and get a new one and low and behold no spare. I had a 2015 Grand Caravan before this and that had a spare but this one only came with the tools to change a spare and a one-time use compressor for a flat tire. Nothing to help if you have a shredded tire.

i have a 2019 dodge grand caravan sxt and cannot find spare tire location

I have a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan Stow and Go. I do have a spare. It has to be lowered with a winch between the front two seats. However, my problem is that the spare won't go on the car. The rim butts up against the brake calipers and you can't seat the spare. I thought maybe Dodge had fixed this problem since they had a newer version of the rim, so I ordered a new spare tire rim from a Mopar dealer. Same thing. Wouldn't go on. So I took the spare to my local mechanic and he couldn't get it on either. So a suggestion is that if you do have a spare, or buy one, make sure that you can get it mounted. Otherwise, just as bad as not having the spare.

Thanks for the answers. I already knew that my 2017 didn’t have a spare. However, with a spectacularly leaking tire and a wait over the weekend to get a new one, I’m thinking of getting a spare to avoid this issue again. My question is, will a full-sized tire fit underneath?
