Dodge Journey 2013 Won’t Start!?

Asked by GuruDDFMVQ Oct 29, 2023 at 06:15 PM about the 2013 Dodge Journey SXT FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello. I have a 2013 Dodge Journey that all of
a sudden would not start. Then it started in
the morning. A week later it would not start at
all, got a boost, no help. Towed to the
mechanic who replaced the battery, that’s not
it. He said since the battery was completely
dead the computer reset and he can’t check
the check engine light code.

I was reading through some similar posts on
here. Could be anti theft related. For 3 years
the heater makes a “click click click click
click” noise every now and again when driving
and almost always after turning off the car. For
about a year the trunk will not open from the
outside. For about a year the electronic lock
and unlock system is really finicky, have to
press lock or unlock about 20-100 times to
get it to work.

Could these things be related? My mechanic
thinks it could be a computer or sensor issue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Trade it in , do not dump a bunch of money on this thing , do not buy chrysler , jeep or even ford . Buy a honda or toyota and get OEM parts for them you'll be spending the money anyways
