what causes "service 4wd sytem" light to flash, alarm binging and transmission not shift?

parked my 2013 jeep gc Laredo on Friday. got in it on Sunday for church and service 4wd sytem started flashing and alarm binging. shifted hard into drive when I put it in gear. drove it down the road and it wouldn't shift gears. no forewarning of any trouble. has 78,000 miles. have any ideas what's going on?

You will need to take it to a Dodge/Jeep dealership and have the TCU module flashed with an update to correct this problem.
