My JK Wrangler is squeaking :(

Asked by Jordanne Feb 08, 2015 at 08:58 PM about the 2013 Jeep Wrangler Sport 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Sport with about 30K miles on it. When I'm driving, there is
a constant squeaking coming from my car. It sounds like a tea kettle whistling and it only
stops when my jeep is completely stopped. As soon as I start driving, the squeaking
starts again. It's especially loud when I'm backing up. I'm not sure what's wrong :( Any
ideas?

well a few things that could cause that in my book. one, would be dirt in the break pads or crappy pads. two, some pads have clips that hold them in place if they are not installed in the proper way they can end up rubbing on the rotor.three, a bearing case on one of the huds is going bad. well i hope this helps you
