2013 Camaro hesitates after battery replacement

Asked by GuruV7M19 Sep 19, 2018 at 06:32 PM about the 2013 Chevrolet Camaro 1SS Convertible RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My battery died the two days ago and while driving it today it started to
hesitate when I push gas.  At one point the car was running but pushing the
gas did nothing the car wouldn't move.  I restarted the car and got it home.  It
still hesitates.  It has a half tank of gas.

It is possible that your ECU may have to relearn your driving style. Next time use a memory saver.

What do I do in the mean time. The car stops going. Can I retrain it in my drive way or something. I can drive on the road because it basically acts like it runs out of gas. Is there a way to reset to factory driving style. I drive like an old man.

I just read that I might be able to pull the ECU/ECM fuses for 15 minutes or disconnect neg battery with key turn to accessary to reset the ECU. Have you heard of ether of these solutions? The video on putting neg is a lot like when I replaced the battery. Only difference is I didn't have the key set to accessaries.

Maybe this will help. http://ricksfreeautorepairadvice.com/gm-throttle-body-relearn- procedure/
