Ford Focus 2013 won’t start

Had a similar problem with my 2008 Mazda5 and not saying it'll work for you, but my battery was fine too with all interior lights going on when turned, then no start. I found shifting the car to neutral then turning the key worked every time. Not sure if it's a sensitive or worn key and only happens like every tenth start or a few times a week, but annoying before I knew how to get around. I found key copies also don't start the car and show a security warning on the dash when I try, but unlocks the door just fine.

There is a way to 'Jump start' cars today. You should use a fresh battery, otherwise never jump start the modern cars if you don't do it the correct way. You have possibly damaged the cars main PCM. When jump starting a modern car, the jumper cables must be "Positive to Positive" on the jumper cables between the donor vehicle and the failed vehicle and the negative terminal from the donor vehicle to the body earth ( near the battery) of the failed vehicle. Once the failed vehicle has been started , let both vehicles idle for about two minutes, then switch the head lamps of the 'failed vehicle' on brights before disconnecting the battery cables, starting from the negative cables first. ( Never Rev the engine when doing this). Doing it this way is to prevent current surge between the charging system and the car's control units.
