FORD FOCUS SE 2013

Asked by Mathew Jun 27, 2018 at 05:26 AM about the 2013 Ford Focus SE

Question type: General

I have a Ford Focus 2013 SE, it has around 50,000 miles on it. I've had it for
about 2 years now and so far hasn't encountered any type of issue. I live in
Minnesota and my girlfriend wants to move back to her hometown in Alaska,
my question is: Will my vehicle make it to such a long drive? My friend who
owns a Ford Focus 2012 suggested I sell my car and hop on a plane instead.
I've never really driven my car longer than 4 hours straight, so I am quite
terrified that my car might break down in the middle of another state. I'd love
to be able to keep my vehicle, any tips or advice? Any Ford Focus owners
who has actually driven their Ford across states? Peace out.

I have a 2013 Focus SE with 130,000 mile on it currently. I moved from SoCal to Arizona for work in 2017, about a 6 hour drive, and my car was fine. I made family trips to Cali about 4-5 times throughout the year that I lived in AZ. When I moved back to Cali a year later, I made the 6 hour drive to Cali, back to AZ twice in 2 days and had no issues. Even now living back in Cali, I take all-day drives from my place to San Diego then later that day drive to LA and back and no issues arise. My favorite thing about this car is how good it is with gas! The only issue I've had with this car so far in the 4 years that I've owned it (bought it in 2015 with 45,000 miles) is the tires. I get an alignment, balance and tire rotations as I should but I find myself getting a tire every 6-7 months. Perhaps because I keep getting used ones, but other than that, this car has been good to me.
