Alternator B+ terminal mounting nut

Asked by Hector Feb 10, 2019 at 08:49 PM about the 1999 Dodge Caravan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'm trying to replace the alternator on my van. I have a 15mm to remove the
bolts holding the alternator and a 13mm to remove the bolts holding the metal
plate on top. I have all the tools needed except the cup need to remove the B+
terminal mounting nut(3) on the back on it. I tried 6mm all the way to 15mm.
Nothing catches, what am I doing wrong?

I have tried already, it has a black plastic protector around its side. I need a socket. I only tried Metric sockets though.
