excessive oil consumption

my 2013 Silverado is consuming oil excessively.  It was down 2 qts over 1600 miles.  It is still under warranty and the dealer wants to tear the engine down to see whats going on.  they sad if they don't find a part that's defective then I would have to pay to put it back together.  It has 74k miles.  So my question is it worth it to do this or should I trade it in.

Or just budget an extra $8 per month. I have a 2012 Silverado and have to carisle check the oil.... where it goes idk, no leaks just evaporates I guess‍♂️

I would say that the oil loss is closer to/or bad rings or seals (valve seals). If not corrected now it will only a lot wore loss per miles.
