Battery died to leaving headlights on, now check engine light on?

Asked by DavePayne Apr 15, 2014 at 12:31 PM about the 1999 Dodge Dakota SLT Club Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Left lights on, battery died of course. Received a jump and had to press the gas pedal to start and to keep running. Shouldn't have had to do that because she has electronic fuel injection. Took the wife to work which is about 10 miles round trip. When I got to work, put it in park and she didn't stall but the check engine light remains on.
