Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 99 dakota. ext cab. 5.2, 4wd. 9.25 rear-end. Broke a u-joint on the front slip yoke
shot my driveshaft out the back flying across the highway off the bridge into who knows.
Need to get a custom driveshaft since the dealer discontinued them. Did a few
measurements from yoke to yoke and tail shaft to pinion gear but want to be 100% sure
before going to the shop to have one made. Anyone know?

62.75 should be the length of my shaft. but i measured tail shaft to pinion gear was 64inches. then did slip yoke flush with tail to middle of rear yoke and got 63.75. So should be 62.75 or 62.50 with the needed 1inch to 1.5 inch movement of shaft.
1990 dodge dakota . Does anyone know a part number for the steering shaft u joints ?
