65 GTO/LeMans
I have a 65 Lemans with a v8, 4 speed , I looking to find out which headers will fit without any interferance with the Z bar. I have a set of hookers on there now but they are very tight & interfere with the clutch lingage. Are there any headers that are a direct fit?

blackjack 3 tube headers might be a better fit, if motor mounts are worn , you might consider replacing them to get more clearance. but if you already have the hooker headers in there, try new motor mounts and you can always 'massage' a pipe here and there for clearance, you will get more performance from the 4 tube hookers than with the 3 tube headers....but then if you can find some good factory exhaust manifolds, ames performance has them, pontiacs cn breath better without headers than other motors
i was thinking about stock manifolds. everything is brand new on this car .the engine was rebuilt, the mounts are new.the whole exhaust system is new with hooker headers .caddy mufflers ,electric cutouts.
I have a 65 GTO with a factory four speed, factory z bar and dougs headers. Lots of room no interference!
Ram Air restoration 2.5 with 3-inch downpipes been on the car 8 years haven't had to touch them since I installed them
