1999 dodge dakota 3.9

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 99 dodge dakota with a 3.9 ran out of gas, I
refilled the tank, won't start. It turns over but won't
fire. I checked the spark, I'm getting spark. I
checked the fuel rail and I'm getting gas, I poured
fuel into the throttle body and still won't fire so I'm
now baffled.

I pulled out the spark plug and set it next to the block and had someone turn over the engine so I visibly seen the spark plug sparking. I hope it's not timing.

I had this happen the injectors get clogged and or wear out from trying to suck something that isnt there. Mine was gonna need all new fuel system feom pump to injectors and line. Ot also had 309000 miles. i bought a new one same truck cause the dakota 3.9 magnum engine will outlast the body if taken care of only problem is none of the air cond. seems to work.
