tricks to loosening the nut on the fan on a 99 Dodge Durango

If you're referring to the engine cooling fan on the water pump, I usually wedge a pry bar on the pulley, or the fastenting bolts on the pulley to keep it from turning while loosening the nut. It might take more than 2 hands. Watch your knuckles because when it breaks free, it goes.
