Question type: General

my 2013 Buick Lacrosse has  keyless entry.  Recently it failed to open my trunk except on the third try.  Same with starting the engine; it did not recognize my remote except after 4-5 tries.  What's the problem?

No answer, but had same problem buick fixed it once. Buick said it was a "grounding problem" ..., now its back

I had the same problem replaced the battery in the remote and still would not work. I ended up scraping the contacts inside the remote with a pocket knife to remove whatever coating had developed and it fixed the problem. surprisingly had the same exact problem with a second remote and the same fix cleaned the contacts and new battery for good measure .
