2013 Veloster automatic trans. Will not come out of park?

Asked by bnjsammons Feb 20, 2019 at 02:40 PM about the 2013 Hyundai Veloster FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Story goes this car got boosted wrong (reversed the poles, don't want to talk
about it).  Put in new battery car started put the blower wouldn't work and the
car overheated at idle.  Changed the multi fuse as it was blown and this fixed
those issues.  However started the car went to drive and it will not come out
of park.  I did try the release and I can change gear using it but it wont unless
I press it.  Any ideas?
