Transmission

While driving I came to a stop sign the vehicle transmission disengage, shifter
was still in drive. Would not go in reverse or drive. Check engine light came on
code was P0717. Changed both sensors. I am able to shift from park to drive
and reverse but the transmission will not engage. The vehicle was running well
and no noise from transmission prior to problem. Thank you

Did you check the fluid level?
Either that, or a sensor went bad and your computer isn't getting signal from your transmission or torque converter. Will it do anything if you shift to 1st/low?
Thanks for the replies. There is not a way to check transmission fluid level in this vehicle. I installed two new sensors. I guess it is possible one or both could be bad but I am not getting the code like before when the sensors failed. It will not do anything in drive or reverse.
What happened ? Is it fixed
I. Have a 2018 compass jeep automatic starts up but want go in gear what that could b please get back with me.
