Ok guys i need some help ive got a 1998 dodge
dakota with the 2.5 and couple months ago it
started dying on me while i was driving but i
noticed my speedometer would also quit working
when it would die so ive replaced ignition switch
module ignition coil pickup coil distributor cap
rotor button speed sensor and nothing has seemed
to work. And now just yesterday my truck quit and
wont start back but i notice that my speedometer
quit working again when the truck died and now all
my guages wont work

Test cam and crank sensor? dodge is well known for them going bad.
Would that cause my guages to quit working as well?
Cause at first when it would die just my speedometer would quit working but now it wont crank at all and none of my guages work
Well, I've got a '98 DD too, and I've had similar issues caused by my ABS system. I had it replaced, but now I have to take it to a dealer to have them "set" it, otherwise, my ABS light blinks all the time. Makes me mad that I have to spend $200 to hook it to a computer just to reset the light. But, before I had my ABS system replaced, my guages were all over the place and doing all sorts of strange things.
I had to have the ABS computer replaced. I can't remember the price, but it was a lot, and then to only find out I still have to pay the dealer $200 to reset the thing to stop the light from blinking.
