1998 Dodge Dakota Stars, runs about 15 feet and dies.

Everything on the truck was running fine, occasionally had
a hard time shifting between 2 and 3, but nothing serious.
Then this morning I get in my truck and start it. I put it in
drive and make it out of the driveway and it stalls on me.
Dies anyone have any advice? I didnt know what it could
be so I jumped it and it was able to start and I drove
another 15 feet it had the same issue. All of the cab lights
work still.
