several things to check first..is a rad.hose collasping when hot?? have you flushed the cooling system..did you get all the air out the system? fans/fans ok??..let us know what else you have done..
several hundered thousand miles if you take/took care of it..
My car has less than 45,000 miles and has been maintained completely by the dealer. They are saying now that the radiator is leaking at both sides and needs replaced. It seems much too soon. They replaced the water pump just a few months ago but they have never suggested flushing the cooling system until now.

The bowls can be replaced and/or gaskets if failed and new or used ones installed. There is a local guy here that does this, he has replaced some for me, among other things including my AC servicing. The bowls have bent over tabs that hold the bowls on tight, with a tool he has he bends these out one at a time, then the bowl comes off and a new one goes on in reverse a good radiator man can do this. Last one he did ran me $35.00 the part included for one side bowl. Only took 10 minutes. I took him my radiator a few days after I stopped by to see if he could get the bowl and he did. I removed it myself to save money.
