Can't Start 1998 Dodge Dakota within 2 hours of it being turned off

So my 1998 dodge dakota the first start of the day it will start right up no
problems and idles great, but if you turn it off you can't keep it running if you try
to start it within 2 hours of being turned off, it will start but it will not idle it will
just stall out unless you keep giving it gas
