How to install Cap Guards on 98 Dakota

Asked by Jim Jun 07, 2015 at 04:15 PM about the 1998 Dodge Dakota Sport RWD

Question type: Car Customization

I've purchased "cap guards" for my 98 Dakota from Performance Accessories.  Unfortunately, the instructions are a complete joke.  Basically, they say, hold the cap guards in place and drill 1/4 holes and insert fasteners.  Another words:  "figure it out yourself".  I've searched youtube without any luck, and hoping someone here has experience with cap guards.

The cap guards to not come with markings to say which is for front or rear wheels, and don't indicate which direction is the front or rear when mounting.

Without instructions, I finally laid them out and decided to go with my decision how to install them, whether right or wrong. After the first one, the rest of them turned out pretty well.
