Transponder key bypass

Asked by Scottie Dec 02, 2019 at 05:12 PM about the 1998 Dodge Durango SLT 4WD

Question type: General

I have a 1998 Dodge Durango that the key
transponder was taking out of it and I have
the key and key fob but no transponder so
my truck won't start without the unit.  Does
anyone know how I can bypass it so I can get
my vehicle to start.  Or do I need to get a
whole new unit and key and key fob to get
my truck up and running again.

You need to get the new unit and have it programmed to the vehicle by your local Dodge Dealer. Sorry! Hope that helps! Jim
