All speakers went out at once

Have you moved stuff around in the trunk, perhaps striking one of the speaker wires? One of them could have become disconnected and shorted the other one out. Also, look under the front seats for a metal box which could be an amplifier. Maybe while vacuuming under the seat you could have a damaged the plug going into the box, if one is present. AHA, this could also be "anti-theft" related. You'd have to drop by the dealer to get that checked, probably no charge. One thing to check, although it may be a bit difficult to perform, would be to disconnect all 4 speakers and try connecting each speaker by itself. Maybe you'll find a shorted one that way.

Here is a photo I borrowed from another post. Look for this condition on the rear speakers. Do you see the braided wire where it contacts the speaker frame? The wire cannot touch the frame - the system will shut off all speakers as a safety feature for the radio. Click to enlarge:

No box under my seats except for the computer occupant detection. Checked my wires, and they're not touching the speaker frame. I'm so lost about this and it's making me so angry. Ugh. I can't afford to take it to be fixed and of course, the only warranty I have remaining is the power train.

I still think you have one speaker grounded somewhere, maybe it's in the front, because this is a documented problem with Corollas when all four speakers stop working, but usually it's in the rear and I know you already checked that. Nevertheless, drop by an 'independent' stereo shop and I'd bet they'd check it for free. Not sure about Best Buy or places like that - they want to charge for everything. As a long shot, let me know if you happen to be near Greensboro, NC. By the way, I'm a former Kenwood/Alpine Electronics installer.

Replaced my speakers and completely removed the stereo/dash and nothing is frayed, missing, burnt, or broken. Looks like I'm going to a stereo shop in the AM.

After some research, and this may be a little too late, it looks like all Toyotas have a minimum 3yr/36K mile warranty. Unless you have over 36K miles, the dealer should fix this problem.

It seems I've become obsessed with trying to figure out a way to get this fixed at no cost to you, ha ha! "IF" you have already exceeded 36K miles, you can try contacting the previous owner and ask if they notified the dealer about radio problems. If the dealer replaced the radio (or any other accessory) then the warranty for the replaced accessory is 12 months from the date of installation AND there is NO mileage limitation. This is directly from the official sales brochure from Toyota, for a 2013 Corolla.

Yes please if you find anything out at all. I'm having the exact same problem. Removed everything... nothing wrong. Maybe internal amp in radio? If you found out please let me know. When I hit 50k exact it was like my speakers stopped... just weird.

I still have not found anything! This is so frustrating! I didn't think of the internal amp. I think I'm going to have my husband take the actual stereo apart and check out the inside! I'll report back!

Not a darn thing yet. Been super busy with work but I did manage to go on vacation and on my way back, my sister tell me that my bumper is flapping so we stopped and it started detaching from the car right above the front left tire so now my bumper is tied and anchored to my frame. I'm so livid and pissed off with this car. I think I'll keep it a year and on the day, trade it in for a brand new one. Mine is 2 years old! I think the dealership I went to dumped a lemon on me.

I just recently started having this issue as well, wires are fine, but I haven't checked under the seat yet. I'll try to find an independent stereo store around here to see if they'll check it out.

Had the same issue on my 2010 Corolla. On mine, the speakers would come on but cut out shortly after. It turned out to be a defective Blu Logic module (Bluetooth add-on). I disconnected the power connector to the Bluetooth and the speakers work fine now. I had to leave the other connectors plugged in to complete the circuits for the speakers and such so I couldn't pull the Bluetooth module out completely (I could have cut wires and bypassed it but didn't want to screw it all up). My Blu Logic module was tucked between the radio and glove box.

I had this problem on my 2013 toyota corolla. I checked the trunk yesterday and none of the wires were touching the metal . Today I decided to wiggle the cables (the red on the left), and it suddenly started working again. Thank you to whoever mentioned this solution. I was going crazy and was about to spend $$ to replace the entire sound system.

Having the same problem with my 2013 corolla.. lost all speakers at once. Have appointment with local car radio business but worried about the cost. Will check trunk tomorrow before appointment but not sure where to find speakers. Everything else works fine. Touch screen, radio, disc player , just no audio from anything not even for the phone. I haven't even payed the loan off yet.

Happened to my 2013 Corolla today; I pulled the audio fuse to check it. it was fine. Simply reseated it and viola! speakers worked

Thank you sooooo much!! After driving over 2 years with NO radio, I followed this post advice and looked in my trunk. Sure enough, the braided wire had been knocked off and was touching the metal frame. One piece of advice to fellow stereo novices — there are 2 metal frame speakers on each side of the trunk. I assumed the wires connected to one and the first one I checked was fine and I figured that wasn’t my problem. I started jiggling random wires on the sides of the trunk and saw the second speaker frame by accident. The 2nd one was the culprit! Adjusted the braided wire and instant radio!! THANK YOU!!!

After a year and a half of a Bluetooth speaker, I'm ready to fix this. Anyone have any updates or additional solutions?

Does everybody have no sound cause I work for toyota and the only problem I come across is front speakers not working

The front doors have a water leak that allows water to get into the LF and RF speaker connector causing corrosion if you remove door panel and grab wires going to speakers and move them around a little bit they will break off you need to replace the wires and connector or trim the corroded section of wire off and can you two female connectors into the speaker you must install silicone of some sort to seal connector so water doesn't get in connector and ground ig self out I do these all the time

I haven't had a stereo for over 2 years now. Is there a video you could post on how to fix the front speakers or do you think it's worth it to go to a car stereo place and pay for them to fix the wires?

@lowrider81783 I had like a static sound before losing all sound in all speakers. I just don't know what exactly to look for on the speakers in the trunk if I did just bump the connection

Was having the same problem with all speakers stopped working at same time. As stated in previous posts, the bare wire connected to rear speaker in the trunk was touching the metal on speaker. Put some tape so no bare metal close to wire and that fixed the problem. Thank you to all previous posts that pointed this out.

Thank you for the tip. I took it to Toyota and they said I needed a new radio. I went and checked the speaker on the trunk and just touch the wires and my radio is back. I could not believe it. I was without a radio for three weeks. Now my Bluetooth does not work, still. Any in sites on how to fix it?
