Thank you that what I think as well, but could a simple oil change issue cause this? I am behind on my oil change like 2 days, and my maintenance light is on, I was just nervous it could be a transmission issue =(

I don't understand what you mean by "works on 3 wheels?" However being only a couple days behind an oil change is not going to cause any issues, unless you were low on oil, but it seems you are experiencing some unrelated problem. Can you give us some more details on it?

Yes, sorry I dont know how to word it Im guessing. Basically when I shift gears it digitally displays it on my dash, when its in P for example the dash board displays a P, so when its in D for drive the dash displays 3 instead of D, hope that makes sense.

Is it a "3" or a "B"? I know on the Corollas the shift indicators have an "S" (for sport) and "B" for long downhill grades when you want to use engine braking more.

ITS A NUMBER 3, I WAS TOLD IT WAS FOR 3 WHEEL DRIVE? I AM TAKING MY CAR IN FOR A OIL CHANGE TODAY

Cars can have rear, front, or all-wheel drive. There is no such thing as a "3 wheel drive" for your Corolla. Three-wheel drive vehicles do exist, but they literally have 3 wheels, and are classified as motorcycles. Your Corolla shift indicator has P, R, N, D, S, B. Perhaps you have switched the dash indicator to display some other function, rather than gear selection?

HM OK MAKE SENSE, IT MUST BE A B I GUESS, BUT IM SWEAR LOOKS LIKE A 3 TO ME, NOT SURE ON MY DASH INDICATOR BUT YES YOU COULD BE RIGHT, I WILL FIND OUT ONCE I TAKE IT FOR A OIL CHANGE AND CHECK UP, I GUESS, THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME, GREAT FEEDBACK APPRECIATE IT.

Did you ever figure out the problem, my 2012 is doing the same thing. when you pull it down into drive its says it's in 3rd and it is running like it's in 3rd

Did you find what the cause of the problem was? My car is also doing this and I’m not sure why
