Is the Chrysler 300C AWD sedan equipped with some sort of module or chip that allows the car to adapt to the driver's method of driving habits?

Asked by aicpcul Jun 17, 2014 at 02:38 PM about the 2013 Chrysler 300 C AWD

Question type: General

2013 300C with 33,600 miles with AWD purchased about a weeks ago. Car was a
rental unit.

Three times since purchase, when starting from a dead stop the engine will rev up
excessively after traveling just a half block or so (like driving in low gear at high speed).
I had to pull over and shift into neutral or park and then proceed into drive to eliminate
the high revs.

Local Chrysler service rep said that Chrysler has a module in the  that will actually
tailor itself to my driving habits and since I just purchased the car it doesn't know my
driving habits. It will take 5,000 - 10,000 miles for the car to finally pick up my driving
habits?

Is the info about a driving habit module in the car accurate???

Thank you for your input

Hi, The exact issue you described happens with my 2013 300C. My car has 16000 miles in a year of purchase. The service rep said this issue was not widely reported and there was no open TSB (Technical service bulletin) on this. I have to stop and start the car or shift gears to Park/Reverse to get rid of the issue. This issue also occurs sometimes when I shift to park and then move to Drive. No idea why.

I have had problems with the car surging if I stop very fast or when or pull off a little fast.... It's not smooth at all...

Haha everyone, do you not understand the reality that you should be purchasing a better gas grade, it allows for better intake, horsepower. However i' m not saying buy premium grade, but we all know buying cheap walmart gas is probably ruining our cars, and if you spent twenty thousand dollars on this car, if not thirty thousand, buy better gas, get premium results and be happy. I mean I have done this myself and it has smoother transitions, overall the car has to warm up when you just begin your ride, it's actually highly important to start the vehicle slowly, it may be reading your driving habits then, for all we know.
